Discover the Zoomarine park: zoo, ecological awareness combined with a host of attractions for a family day out in the Algarve!

Head to Guia, a few miles from Albufeira in the Algarve, and visit theZoomarine theme park, which covers over 35 hectares. Your ticket will allow you to wander around the zoological park discovering a wide variety of species: watch the sharks in "Oceanus", admire exotic species from the American continent in "Americas" and visit the "Butterfly Garden" where you'll learn more about the amazing life cycle of butterflies.

You can also watch performances with: dolphins, seals, sea lions, tropical birds and birds of prey. Each of the performances aims to raise visitors' awareness of ecological issues while having fun.

After half a day in the zoological side of the park, head to the leisure side! With a pirate ship, carousel, mini rollercoaster and 4D cinema, you can enjoy the attractions, beaches and pools, and have some family fun in the Algarve sunshine.

  • Availability: from March to November (except under exceptional circumstances)
  • Park opening times: 
    • 10am to 5pm (March, October, November)
    • 10am to 6pm (April, May, June, September)
    • 10am to 7.30pm (July, August, early September only)
  • Duration: 1 or 2 days depending on the option chosen
  • To make the most of the park, we recommend staying for at least half a day
  • If you choose the 2-day pass, your two visits to the park do not have to be on consecutive days. However, the second visit must be within 10 days of the first. For more information, please visit the Zoomarine park reception desk
  • Accessing the park:
    • Free parking is available at the park entrance. Make sure you don't leave valuables in your vehicle
  • For your lunch break you'll have the choice of:
    • Numerous restaurants
    • Fully equipped picnic areas
  • Remember to bring your swimming costume and towel so you can make the most of the pools in Zoomarine Park
  • The display areas open their doors 30 minutes before the start of each show. Once they have reached their maximum capacity, they will be closed and entry to these shows will no longer be permitted
  • Remember that you may be splashed during some performances.
