You'll board your boat for a one-and-a-half-hour cruise on Maligne Lake. This lake is famous for its azure-blue colour and is one of the largest in Jasper National Park.
Listen to your captain's commentary and learn all about this stunning lake, from its history to its nature and the mountains that surround it. You'll likely spot local wildlife including bears, elk and numerous birds such as the American bald eagle.
You'll disembark on Spirit Island, a small island in the middle of the lake and enjoy some free time to admire the unique view of the Canadian Rockies. This island was named by the Stoney Nation Indians and held a particularly important place in their culture.
Today it's forbidden to walk around the island, but there's a marked path from which you can admire the different views of the island and the surrounding mountains - perfect for Insta-worthy snaps!
