Get some fresh air as a family or with friends as your raft down the Kananaskis River!

Once your guide has told you the protocol to follow and explained the safety guidance, you will head out to the Kananaskis River. The 1–3 class river rapids are perfect for beginners who want to try white water rafting in total safety.

The Kananaskis River offers the ideal setting to explore the beautiful scenery of Banff National Park in a unique and active way!

  • Seasonal activity: Available every day from mid-May to mid-September (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Times: 1:30pm
  • Duration: 4 hrs. – 1 hr. 30 mins to 2 hrs. of which spent in the water
  • Departure point: directly at the meeting point next to the Kananaskis River
     
  • Don’t forget to wear your swimsuit under your clothes and to bring a towel and a change of clothes
  • Please inform your guide if you suffer from any medical conditions
  • This activity is not suitable for children under the age of 5 years
  • Children under 16 years must be accompanied by an adult
  • Each participant must weigh between 40lbs/18kg and 350lbs/158kg to take part in the activity
  • You will raft on class 1–3 rapids, which are suitable for beginners
  • You are advised not to bring your camera on the raft, but you may bring your GoPro
  • The local service provider will ask each participant to complete a disclaimer before taking part in the activity
