- Tour of the Historic Centre of Beirut and the National Museum
You will be picked up from your hotel in Beirut and taken to the historic centre, whose long and tumultuous history is reflected in the archaeological sites throughout the city. You'll see Beirut's most famous monuments (churches, mosques, Martyrs' Statue, etc.) and visit the National Museum of Beirut, which boasts a superb collection of Phoenician artefacts.
- Tour of Beiteddine and its Palace
You'll then go to the town of Beiteddine, where you'll visit the magnificent Beiteddine Palace, constructed in the early ninth century. Its arcades, galleries and rooms decorated by various international artists make this monument an archetype of Middle Eastern architecture. You will also explore small museums exhibiting national costumes, jewellery, weapons from the era and Byzantine mosaics.
- Lunch in Barouk & Tour of the Village of Deir el Qamar
You will then take a pleasant break for lunch in a local restaurant in Barouk where you can sample delicious mezze (an assortment of small Lebanese dishes) and a glass of Arak (a traditional beverage). Your day will continue with a tour of the Christian village of Deir el Qamar, formerly the capital of Mount Lebanon. You can explore its historic centre, souks (markets), museums and religious monuments.
At the end of the day, you will be dropped off at your hotel in Beirut.
