Discover the treasures of Holland on a full-day excursion from Brussels!
Your day begins with a comfortable coach ride from the center of Brussels, accompanied by an experienced guide. After a three-hour drive through the picturesque Dutch countryside, you'll arrive at the village of Zaanse Schans. This open-air museum will immerse you in the atmosphere of 18th- and 19th-century Holland, with its working windmills, traditional wooden houses and craftsmen's workshops.
Accompanied by your guide, you'll explore the village and discover how the historic windmills work. You'll also visit a clog factory, where you'll watch a demonstration of the making of wooden clogs, emblematic of Dutch culture. Afterwards, you'll head to a local cheese factory, Catharina Hoeve Farm, for a tasting of traditional Dutch cheeses and to learn more about artisanal production methods.
After this cultural immersion, you'll hit the road again in the direction of the famous Keukenhof gardens, located in Lisse. On arrival, your guide will offer a short introduction, then you'll have free time to explore the 32 hectares of this exceptional floral park at your own pace. Admire the millions of tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and other spring flowers that make up the colorful, fragrant mosaics. Don't miss the pavilion dedicated to orchids or the Japanese-inspired garden, and take advantage of the many vantage points to immortalize these unforgettable moments.
At the end of the afternoon, you'll rejoin your group for the drive back to Brussels, with memories full of eyes and anecdotes to share!
