Discover the wild landscapes of Las Coloradas, and taste local products in a fishing village!
For this excursion, you'll be picked up early in the morning directly in front of your hotel. After a drive of around 3 hours (depending on where you're staying), you'll arrive in the early morning at the Las Coloradas lagoons on the northern coast of the Yucatán region. Your guide will take you to an authentic hacienda, a 16th-century Mexican farmhouse, for breakfast.
Your experience will continue with a visit to the Las Coloradas lagoons, where you'll admire their shades of pink, orange and yellow. These lagoons owe their colors to the high concentration of salt and microscopic algae. Continue your visit with a boat trip through the mangroves, where you can observe the birds in their natural, wild setting. You can then enjoy a swim in the Rio Lagartos lake.
Finally, you'll end your excursion in a small fishing village, where your guide will invite you to sample a dish of local produce, an astonishing view of the Rio Lagartos lake.
You'll then be taken back to your hotel.
