Departing from your hotel, your excursion will begin with a visit to Ahu Akivi, a unique site featuring seven aligned Moai statues facing the ocean. According to legend, these figures represent the first explorers sent to the island by King Hotu Matu’a. You’ll then continue to Ana Te Pahu cave, one of the island’s largest volcanic cavities. Once used as a shelter and cultivation space by the island’s early inhabitants, the cave offers a fascinating glimpse into the everyday life of the Rapa Nui people.
