You will also have access to the Italian gallery that houses a major work of art and the museum's iconic piece: the statue of David by Michelangelo. Use your time to explore the various works created by the Italian masters, spanning periods from the Middle-ages to the Renaissance and the early 17th century.

Discover the undisputed masterpiece that is the statue of “David” created by the famous artist Michelangelo. This statue became a symbol of the free and independent spirit and values of the Florentine State.

You will also be able to see other pieces by Michelangelo including Prigioni, St Matthew and the Palestrina Pietà. The gallery also displays paintings from the Middle-ages, the Renaissance and the early 17th century.

  • The exact time of your visit will be indicated on your official ticket. Please be sure to check the time on your official ticket, as this is the one that staff will check at the Gallery. 
  • The confirmed time depends on availability - the time can be confirmed for anytime between the beginning and end of the day, therefore do not plan other activities before your confirmation.

  • Availability: Tuesday to Sunday (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Time: the exact time of your visit will be indicated on the official ticket that you will receive after confirmation
     
  • Your voucher is a dated ticket with a specific time. It cannot be used at any other date or time then the one specified on your voucher
  • The Galleria dell'‘Accademia is extremely popular for tours and visits. We recommend that you plan your visit as early as possible. To consult availability, see the calendar (after clicking on book). Same-week bookings are often unavailable as all time slots may be already booked
  • Frequency: admission to the gallery takes place every 15 mins approx.
  • The gallery is open Tuesday evenings until 10 pm from June to September. Last entry takes place at 8:30 pm
  • Children under the age of 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.
  • During peak times, you may need to wait during security checks.
  • Your priority-access allows you to avoid waiting in line at the ticket counter. If a large number of people have reserved their tickets in advance, you may face some waiting time when you enter
  • Reduced tariffs are available to students and children, however, certain reduced tariffs are available for purchase on-site only
  • Admission is free on the first Sunday of each month
  • Free admission for children aged under 6 years upon presentation of proof of age
