Descrizione

Explore the numerous natural and cultural sites on the island of Oahu on a one-day excursion!

The island of Oahu offers a vast array of stunning landscapes. The Pacific Ocean as far as the eye can see, the majestic mountain range, the waves crashing on the white sandy beaches, the bustling city, and the battleships all come together to define the unique character of this land. Also known as the 'gathering place', the island of Oahu has successfully blended the traditions and values of native Hawaiians with those of the Western population. This melting pot brings a unique charm to the island that hosts the majority of Hawaii's population.

On your tour itinerary:
- Amelia Earhart Observatory: this site pays tribute to the woman who took the first solo flight between Hawaii and North America in 1934, two years after crossing the Atlantic.
- Kahala Avenue: known as Hawaii's Beverly Hills, this is the place to check out some stunning multi-million dollar properties.
- Hanauma Bay: formed in a volcanic cone, the ecosystem is particularly well preserved. It's a popular diving spot, also visible from the road above the bay.
- Halona's wind tunnel: waves rush into the cave and act like a geyser as they come out through a hole formed in the rock. As a result, impressive jets of water are regularly shot into the air.
- Nu'uanu Pali Lookout: a historic site that offers one of the most breathtaking views of Oahu.
- Byodo-In Temple: a replica of a Byodo-In temple in Japan located on the slopes of the Ko'olau mountain range. The Byodo-In Temple commemorates the first Japanese immigrants to Hawaii. The beautiful peacocks and hundreds of Japanese koi carp contribute to making it one of the most peaceful and picturesque places on the island.
- Kualoa Ranch: a private nature reserve and working cattle ranch; it is also a sought-after filming location boasting hits such as Jumanji, Jurassic Park, Godzilla, and many more. If you've chosen the option, you'll savour a buffet lunch served in the ranch's café. Hop aboard the little train to spot some ancient Hawaiian sites.
- Chinese Hat (or Mokolii): an islet in Kaneohe Bay named after the conical hats worn by Chinese immigrants.
- North Shore surf spots: the famous Sunset and Waimea Bay beaches will be visible from your vehicle as it passes through an area known for its impressive winter waves and international surfing competitions.
- Haleiwa Town: a preserved historic surf town with shops and restaurants that are popular amongst visitors and locals alike. This is the gateway to the North Coast for those arriving from Honolulu and is the largest shopping centre in the area.
- Dole Plantation: a must-visit to learn about the history of pineapple-growing in Hawaii. Sample the delicious fruits that are part of the island's heritage and loved the world over. This is the last stop before you head back to Waikiki.
