Set off for a full day exploring Sintra, Cascais and Cabo da Roca with a visit to the gardens of the Pena Palace and local wine tasting!
You'll meet your guide at the meeting point and set off on an excursion in an air-conditioned minivan.
You'll drive to the Serra de Sintra, a mountainous region listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Your first stop will be at the summit, to admire the colorful exterior of the Pena Palace. You'll stroll through its lush gardens, which offer panoramic views of the surrounding area.
You'll then have free time to explore Sintra's historic center, stroll through its picturesque alleyways and sample the famous local pastries.
Midday, you'll head to Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of continental Europe. This spectacular site, with its sheer cliffs overlooking the Atlantic, will offer you a privileged moment facing the immensity of the ocean.
You will then join Colares to visit a famous winery. For about an hour, you'll learn about the winemaking process, from production to aging, before tasting several local wines in an authentic setting.*
The afternoon will continue to Cascais, an elegant seaside resort popular with Lisboans. Enjoy some free time to stroll along the port, admire the seaside villas or relax on the terrace.
You'll be back in Lisbon by late afternoon, with your head full of memories and grandiose landscapes.
