Fall for the charm of Mérida, the "White City" and capital of Yucatán!
Cosmopolitan, trendy, multicultural and built on a human scale, the capital of the Yucatán Peninsula is a fantastic destination. The city was elected American Capital of Culture in 2017.
If you're staying in the centre of Mérida, you'll be picked up from your hotel. Or, you can join your tour group at the meet-up point in the city centre. The tour of Mérida starts with a must-see place: the Plaza Grande. Your guide will tell you all about the colonial architecture that lines the plaza, as well as some fun anecdotes.
You'll continue your tour by crossing the Paseo Montejo, an avenue inspired by Paris's majestic boulevards. You'll also have the opportunity to visit the different parks including Hermitage Park, San Sebastian Park and Parque de las Americas.
Your guide will then let you enjoy some free time to continue exploring Mérida or do a spot of shopping.
At the end of the tour, you'll be dropped off at your hotel or the meet-up point.
