Set off on a Swiss Alps excursion from Milan and travel aboard the Bernina train to the famous alpine resort of St. Moritz!
You will meet your guide in central Milan early in the morning to begin your excursion towards the Swiss Alps. You will leave the city by coach and head towards the mountains located on the border between Italy and Switzerland. Along the way, you will pass through charming villages and gradually admire the alpine landscapes.
You will then reach the railway station where you will board a regional train running on the Bernina railway line, operated by the Rhaetian Railway.
The Bernina railway line, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is one of the most famous panoramic railway lines in the Alps. Known for its red trains crossing spectacular landscapes, it passes over numerous viaducts and through tunnels while connecting several alpine villages.
Comfortably seated on board the train, you will enjoy a panoramic journey through the mountains. You will travel through alpine forests, pass by high-altitude lakes, and admire glaciers and surrounding peaks along the route.
You will then arrive in St. Moritz, a renowned alpine resort located in the Engadin Valley. You will have free time to stroll around the resort, explore its boutiques, or walk along the lake surrounded by mountains.
In the late afternoon, you will meet your guide again to board the coach back to Milan. You will arrive in the city in the early evening after a day dedicated to discovering alpine landscapes and experiencing the Bernina train.
