Discover the culture and secrets of Greek cuisine and enjoy a traditional barbecue on the farm!
After leaving your hotel, you'll be driven to the farm, which is located in the centre of the island. After a warm welcome from the owner, you'll start your culinary adventure.
The day starts with an introduction to the history of Mykonos's traditional agriculture, animal husbandry and crops, and you'll get to sample local specialities such as loukoums and figs accompanied by a glass of raki. You'll then go on a tour of the farm, which is entirely devoted to organic farming. You'll see all the animals, including pigs, sheep, goats, rabbits, chickens and "Konstantis", the farm's donkey and mascot. Depending on the season, you'll also have the chance to pick some produce from the garden and vegetable patch.
After the tour, the barbecue will be lit and you'll learn how to prepare a barbecue spread with help from the farm staff. You'll learn how to prepare the classic side dishes, such as the famous horiatiki salad, delicious tzatziki (made using ingredients produced on site), and a fresh Mykonian sausage omelette. Dinner will be served on the shaded terrace.
After the meal, you'll be driven back to your hotel.
