Visit the American aircraft carrier holding the record for the longest time in service in the 20th century!

Climb aboard the USS Midway and walk in the footsteps of 225,000 sailors who have served the United States of America. You will discover life at sea without leaving the port and learn about 50 years of history thanks to the audio-guided tour commentated by sailors who worked on the vessel. Another popular feature to the visit is meeting the volunteer guides, who will share with you various anecdotes about the aircraft carrier.

The vessel also features over 60 exhibitions and collection of 29 restored aircraft. Take advantage of the visit to climb aboard some of the planes and test 2 flight simulators. You will also have access to the crew cabin, the engine room, the Wardroom, the ship prison and the post office!

  • Availability: all year (excluding exceptional dates)
  • Opening times: 10am to 5pm (last entry at 4pm)
  • Duration: day pass. Plan to spend roughly 3 to 4 hours
  • Location: North Harbor Drive
  • Languages: audio guide available in English, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, French and German. A written version of the audio commentary is available for hard-of-hearing visitors
  • You will be asked to indicate a provisional date for your visit when you book, but your ticket is not restricted to this date. Your official ticket is non-dated, meaning you can use it on the day of your choice (within 1 year of the purchase date)
  • About 60% of the USS Midway Museum exhibitions are wheelchair accessible
  • Elevators are available to access the aircraft carrier from Navy Pier to the deck and to descend from the hangar at the second bridge
  • It is possible to park near the museum for roughly $10 (not included in the activity price)
