Visit the infamous Alcatraz Island and explore Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley during your stay in San Francisco!

Board your ferry to the infamous Alcatraz Island from Pier 33. See the prison at your own pace with the help of one of the very best tour guides. Discover all the nooks and crannies of Alcatraz and listen to the stories of former prisoners. 

The next day, in the early afternoon, you'll set off from San Francisco to Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley. Along the way, you'll get a great view of the famous Golden Gate Bridge. Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley welcome many wineries, some of which produce the very best Californian wines. During your excursion, you'll visit two vineyards and enjoy a wine tasting. You'll head back to San Francisco at the end of the day.

  • IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR ALCATRAZ: when booking, you will need to indicate the date you wish to visit Alcatraz. You will have to pick up your ticket for Alcatraz (with return ferry transfer) on the day of your visit between 9 am and 10 am. The collection point is located at Pier 39, next to many attractions and the ferry departure point. The Alcatraz tour will be later in the day, either in the morning (after 10:30 am) or in the afternoon (exact time will be indicated on your official ticket). It is impossible to know the time in advance, so we advise against planning any other activities on that day.
  • The Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley Wine tour will take place the following day
  • You will have to show your ID and voucher to collect your ticket and board the ferry
     
  • Additional information for the Alcatraz tour (Day 1):
  • This activity often sells out in the summer (June to September), sometimes several months in advance. We advise booking as soon as possible
  • Estimated duration of the tour with audio guide: approx. 1h30. You'll be free to take the ferry back to San Francisco whenever you wish; no return time is imposed
  • Duration of the ferry ride: 15-20 minutes
  • Audio guides are available during the tour in 10 languages: English, French, Spanish, Japanese, Korean, German, Portuguese, Italian, Russian, and Chinese
  • Alcatraz will be closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas Day, and New Year''s day
     
  • Information for the Napa Valley and Sonoma Valley Wine Tour (Day 2):
  • Departure time and place: 12:30 PM at 99 Jefferson Street in San Francisco
  • Duration: approx. 5 hours
  • You will be accompanied by an English-speaking guide
  • You will visit 2  wineries, wine tasting included
  • As a reminder, it is illegal to serve alcohol to people under the age of 21 in the USA
