Discover Changdeok Palace and its central role in Korean history and stroll through the bustling Namdaemun Market!
A shuttle will pick you up directly from your hotel to take you to Changdeok Palace.
You will learn about the history of this UNESCO world heritage site and view the architecture of the 13 buildings comprising the palace. Of particular note, you will discover the Injeongjeon building where the throne room is located and also Seonjeongjeo, where the king used to meet with his ministers. A stroll through the palace gardens will make you feel calm and serene.
Soon after you will visit the Insadong neighbourhood's antique street as well as an amethyst factory, a violet-coloured stone often used in jewellery.
Your guide will then take you to check out Namdaemun market, one of the city's largest and liveliest markets. You will be amazed by the many different products sold.
You will also admire the Namdaemun Gate which gives its name to the market. It once guarded the city and today remains a symbol.
Lastly, the shuttle will take you back to your hotel.
