Discover Canada in a unique way at the reins of a dog sled!
- Day 1 – Arrival and exploration of the area
Your guide will pick you up from Whitehorse and drive you to the inn, located in the middle of the countryside, around 10km from the city. Take some time to get your bearings and explore the estate freely.
- Day 2 – Trip along the Takhini River
Your guides will introduce you to the dogs and will teach you how to ride a sled. In the afternoon, you will take the reins and set off to explore the Takhini River and its surrounding areas.
- Day 3 - Snowy Wilderness Rides
You'll board your sled and spend the day exploring the Yukon's snowy wilderness. At noon, you'll gather your strength and enjoy lunch on the trail before continuing your journey. After the initial hesitation, you'll fall in love with these beautiful four-legged friends and the walks along the frozen rivers.
- Day 4 and 5 - Forest trail rides
After two training rides on the river, you will set out to discover new forest trails. Here you will have the opportunity to take sharp turns, control your sled on the downhill and also do your bit on the uphill, in order to discover the whole of dog sledding.
- Day 6 - Ice Fishing and Yukon Nature Reserve Tour
You will have the chance to experience other winter activities. In the morning you will go ice fishing and try to catch fish with the help of your guide. In the afternoon you will head to the Yukon Nature Reserve for a walk or drive in the tranquil and soothing surroundings.
- Day 7 - Return to Whitehorse
You will return to Whitehorse after petting the dogs one last time and saying goodbye to your guides. You will be dropped off either at the airport or at your Whitehorse hotel.
