Explore Nungwi and the northern coast of Zanzibar with a guide!
From your hotel in Stone Town, you will drive to the north of Zanzibar. You will make a first stop at Mangapwani Coral Cave. It was in this cave that slave traders allegedly hid and illegally held slaves for sale after the official closure of the slave market in June 1973.
You will then drive to the village of Nungwi, located at the northern end of the island. The second largest village in Zanzibar, Nungwi is known for its idyllic beaches. Before settling down to bathe in the turquoise water, you will follow your guide through the village's narrow streets, discovering the local customs and habits. You will also visit the Mnarani Natural Aquarium.
Before heading back to Stone Town, you will have some free time to relax on the beach and take a swim.
You will be driven back to your hotel at noon.
